A special election will be held November 13 for Louisiana House Districts 16 and 102. The 16th seat became available to fill the vacant seat left by former Rep. Fredrick Jones (D), who became a district judge. The 102nd seat became available when former Rep. Gary Carter Jr. (D) won a Senate seat in a special election.
