The Impact of My Baby’s Closet

In the heart of Louisiana, a quiet revolution is taking place, one closet, one diaper, one mother and father at a time. My Baby’s Closet, an initiative started and led by Louisiana Black Advocates for Life, is doing more than distributing baby items, it’s restoring dignity, strengthening families, and empowering communities with love and purpose.

From diapers and wipes to clothing, and formula, My Baby’s Closet is a lifeline for countless mothers and fathers facing unexpected or challenging pregnancies. In neighborhoods where access to basic resources is limited and support networks are often stretched thin, this program fills a critical gap. Each item distributed represents more than just material assistance, it’s a tangible reminder to these families that they are not alone.

Beyond providing baby supplies, My Baby’s Closet serves as a gateway to deeper relationships and life-changing support. Through strategic partnerships with pregnancy resource centers, churches, and local volunteers, the program connects mothers with mentorship, counseling, and long-term care.

How You Can Help

Whether it’s by volunteering, donating new baby items, or supporting financially, everyone has a role to play in the mission of My Baby’s Closet. Every contribution becomes a seed of hope planted in a family’s life. Together, we can ensure that every child is welcomed with love and every parent is surrounded with support.

My Baby’s Closet isn’t just a program, it’s a movement. A movement to honor life, uplift mothers and fathers, and remind our communities that every baby is a blessing, and every parent deserves a chance to thrive.

Join us in spreading life, one closet at a time.
