Youth Leadership Summit Recap

Yesterday, more than 250 students gathered at the historic Old State Capitol for our Youth Leadership Summit, a day dedicated to equipping and inspiring the next generation of pro-life leaders. From the very beginning, the energy in the room was contagious as students enjoyed breakfast, engaged in icebreakers, and listened to powerful messages from leaders who believe deeply in their potential.

The summit featured an incredible lineup of speakers, including Secretary of State Nancy Landry, Senator Bill Cassidy, Mayor Sid Edwards, Speaker of the House Phillip Devillier, and many others who shared wisdom, encouragement, and a call to courageous leadership. Students also heard impactful sessions such as The Impact of Abortion with Jeannie Holmes, Pro-Life 101 with Youth Programs Director for Acadiana, Hannah Guilliam, How to Plan Your Year from Youth Director of Baton Rouge, Trinity Wicker and also hearing from two amazing college student leaders Grace Ostermiller and Azariah Foster, sharing their perspectives on What Our Generation Faces: The Abortion Pill Crisis. We also got many opportunities to hear from the students themselves, such as Kate Clapper and Molly Mckeogh, encouraging their peers to come to Pulse Leadership Institute. The day continued with interactive lunch lightning rounds, breakout sessions, and heartfelt student sharing, all centered on empowering young people to embrace their mission and live with purpose.

This gathering was more than just an event, it was a reminder that when students are challenged, inspired, and given the tools to lead, they rise with passion and conviction. We left the Old State Capitol encouraged by their voices, confident that this generation will carry the message of life forward with strength and vision.
