Acadiana resident Greg Duplechain is spearheading this campaign with Louisiana Right to Life. Here is what he had to say:
I felt compelled to spearhead this project after receiving an email from a pro-life supporter in the Lake Charles area, who shared what they are doing there and challenged us to run the same campaign along the interstate in the Acadiana area. Many times pro-abortion folks will say “it’s just tissue” in a mother’s womb. Call it what you want, but look at the pictures. Look at the science. This “tissue” has arms, fingers, legs, toes, a nose, and a heartbeat at 8 weeks. These pictures may persuade a mom to keep her unborn baby.
Think of the MILLIONS of times the message will be viewed in a year! Think of the conversations about “LIFE” in the womb that will occur due to the billboard images. I know beyond any doubt this is what God wants from us at this time in this area.
Plans are to place all three billboards along the I-10 corridor in the Acadiana area. (Cost should be $800 to $1,000 per billboard per month.) We would get the message out to all those passing through our area, including out of state residents. Won’t it be great to join with other campaigns and share this message along the I-10 corridor?
Will you help support the Acadiana Billboard Campaign? Duplechain hopes supporters will commit to a five-year plan with a donation of at least $250 per year. You can have your credit card or bank account drafted once a month, quarter, or year.
You can also donate by mailing a check to Louisiana Right to Life, 200 Robert E Lee Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Please put “Acadiana Billboards” on the memo line.
