Through changes enacted by Act 84 of the 2022 Legislative Session, agencies or centers that receive the funds MUST DESIGNATE fifty percent (50.0%) of the funds received to provide for the material needs of women in a crisis pregnancy who are considering placing their children for adoption and women considering parenting their children, including clothing, housing, medical care, counseling, food, utilities, and transportation. Such funds may also be expended on infants awaiting placement with adoptive parents. The remaining fifty percent (50%) may be used for counseling, training, and providing pregnancy testing, but may NOT be used for administrative expenses, legal expenses, or capital expenditures.

To receive funds, each Agency or Center must enter into and abide by a written Application. In addition, each Agency or Center that receives these funds must submit an annual statement of the disposition of the funds to the Louisiana Right to Life Educational Committee to certify they were spent in accordance with this agreement.
