Today, Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson (LA District 4) was re-elected by the United States House of Representatives as U.S. Speaker of the House.

We are excited that Mike represents Louisiana and serves our country as Speaker of the House. Johnson is a close ally of Louisiana Right to Life and we trust he will continue to advocate for the least of these, specifically unborn babies and their mothers.

Together with his wife Kelly, Mike has led many pro-life efforts with Louisiana Right to Life, including our Life March in Shreveport that garners thousands of participants each year. Prior to becoming a State Representative, he served as Louisiana Right to Life’s Legal Counsel. Louisiana Right to Life also congratulates Congressman Steve Scalise (LA District 1) on his re-election as Majority Leader in Congress.
