Hurricane Ida has come through Louisiana and left a path of devastation in its wake. Like many Louisianians, many of our staff, volunteers, and board members have been displaced as homes have been damaged and power lost. Our New Orleans office has roof leaks, but major devastation has been spared! We are praying for everyone who has been effected by Ida.
Louisiana Right to Life is working with pregnancy centers throughout the region that were affected by Hurricane Ida. We are collecting supplies and donations to help mothers and babies in need especially with diapers, formula, and water.
Nearly 350 families received baby supplies during the first giveaways Sept. 9 in Houma (with Hope Restored Pregnancy Center) and Sept. 10 in Thibodaux (with Crossroads Pregnancy Center). More giveaways are planned in South Louisiana, and we are in contact with pregnancy centers and groups in other areas affected by Hurricane Ida to set up giveaways in those areas.
