The 2024 Proudly Pro-Life Gala was an incredible evening as nearly 1,400 people gathered to celebrate life, save babies, help moms, and advance adoption! Our Honorary Chair Majority Leader Steve Scalise was unfortunately unable to join us as he is undergoing his cancer treatment, but shared over the video screen his appreciation for Louisiana Right to Life and tremendous love of life!

Keynote Speaker Jim Caviezel was incredibly inspiring, sharing that “the beginning of life is the foundation of love.” We were all so motivated by Jim to do everything we can to build a culture of LIFE in our great state!

We were blessed to be joined by Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill and Secretary of State Nancy Landry who both welcomed our guests and shared that they will proudly support unborn babies and love their mothers in their newly elected offices! We were also pleased to recognize 18 state legislators in attendance and showed our appreciation for their strong pro-life leadership at the State Capitol.

We honored two beautiful individuals and ministries with our 2024 Proudly Pro-Life Award: Lise Naccari of Compassionate Burials for Indigent Babies (CBIB) and Don Sampey of the All God’s Babies Ministry of the Monday Night Disciples. These beautiful ministries provide dignity to babies and children who have died from abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and more. CBIB has performed over 400 funeral services since their founding, and All God’s Babies has built over 400 caskets for precious children! These ministries were deeply deserving of this award and their beautiful works of mercy for those in need.

Benjamin Clapper, Executive Director of Louisiana Right to Life, motivated our audience and shared some of our key priorities moving into 2024:

• Combating the abortion pill crisis in our state
• Helping moms and dads in need with pregnancy and parenting support and resources
• Advancing the adoption option in law and culture
• and many more objectives we will be championing in 2024.
