On November 3, 2026, voters in Louisiana will elect their U.S. Senator. This U.S. Senate is currently held by pro-life incumbent Senator Bill Cassidy.

On June 27th, voters will go to the polls in a Closed Party Primary Run-Off to vote for the candidates who will represent their party in the November election. Visit the Secretary of State’s website to learn more about the Closed Party Primary.
In the following information, Louisiana Right to Life provides, in alphabetical order, information on those candidates with a prior voting record on life issues. In this situation, those candidates are three candidates in the Republican primary.

Louisiana is grateful to have two proven pro-life Republicans in the run-off for the U.S. Senate Republican Primary. State Treasurer John Fleming and Congresswoman Julia Letlow each have had a 100% Pro-Life Voting Record during their time in public office.
Treasurer Fleming has been unabashedly pro-life in his public service. He had a 100% Pro-Life Voting Record during his time in office. While in Congress, Fleming led legislation to protect the rights of conscience for doctors, nurses, and others in healthcare. Fleming has regularly supported and attended pro-life events.
Congresswoman Letlow has been unapologetically pro-life during her time in Congress. She has a 100% Pro-Life Voting Record during her time in office. In addition to defending life, Letlow has advocated for more assistance to moms, including through distribution of newborn supply kits to rural hospitals.
Treasurer Fleming served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2009-2017. During that period, Fleming had a 100% Pro-Life Voting Record as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, voting pro-life on all 35 votes scored by National Right to Life.
Representative Letlow has had a 100% Pro-Life Voting Record as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives since being elected in 2021, voting pro-life on all 29 votes scored by National Right to Life.
