Tonight we are shocked & disappointed that Fox 8 News picked up a bogus and one-sided story about the Abortion by Fraud Act from the Louisiana Illuminator, a far-left publication, without even including the guidance and directives of our state’s Department of Health or Attorney General directly.

Fox 8, WHY did you promulgate the false statement that a doctor has to go to a locked room to access misoprostol when AG Murrill explicitly says in her six page statement that physicians have “maximum flexibility” in securing misoprostol and mifepristone in emergent situations? This is blatantly false and should be corrected immediately!

There is NO REASON there should be any delay of care when using misoprostol in a hospital. The Department of Health, Board of Pharmacy & Attorney General have each expressly stated this. The Department of Health has also informed physicians that these medications can be on hemorrhage crash carts despite the unnecessary panic created by unserious and unprofessional writers. Fox 8, by sharing this false story, you are spreading confusion and endangering the public.
