On May 9th, the day before Mother’s Day, pro-life community members gathered at our New Orleans office with one mission in mind: helping mothers diaper and feed their babies.
Thanks to the generosity and compassion of volunteers and supporters, hundreds of diapers, wipes and baby supplies were received by moms for their little ones. Families were provided with diaper packs, formula, wipes, baby wash, baby shampoo, baby powder, diaper rash cream, and many other essential items. For many mothers, receiving diapers and supplies just before Mother’s Day was both a practical blessing and a reminder that they have a community of support within the pro-life movement.
What made the day even more meaningful was the determination shown by the mothers who came for help. Despite severe thunderstorms moving through the area, moms still walked, rode the bus, and drove to our office to receive support for their children. Their perseverance was a powerful reminder of the real challenges many families face every day.
Events like this show how great the need is in our community. Many mothers are struggling quietly and often do not realize that help is available to them. Pregnancy resource centers and pro-life ministries exist to provide encouragement, practical assistance, and hope to women facing difficult circumstances.
Every person can play a role in supporting mothers and babies. One simple way to help is by saving the phone number of your local pregnancy resource center so you are prepared if you meet a woman who is pregnant or a mother in need of support for her infant.
If you or someone you know needs help, you can find a local pregnancy resource center through FindHelpLA.com.
Together, we can continue making a difference for mothers, babies, and families in our community.
