40 Days for Life Closing Events Set

The fall 40 Days for Life campaign, the largest, simultaneous, inter-denominational global pro-life prayer effort in history, is coming to a close Nov. 4. Christians of every denomination, all over the world, have been gathering peacefully outside local abortion clinics to pray to see an end to the abortion tragedy.

In Louisiana, three campaigns have been going on in front of abortion facilities in Shreveport, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans. At least 24 babies have been saved from abortion as hundreds of Louisiana citizens have gathered in peaceful prayer vigils.

Closing prayer vigils are planned as follows:

New Orleans: Saturday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m. in front of Planned Parenthood, 4636 S. Claiborne Ave. Participants should meet a few minutes prior to the event next door at Woman’s New Life Center.

Shreveport: Sunday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m. at the corner of Kings Highway and Centenary Boulevard (near 210 Kings Hwy.) in Shreveport.

Baton Rouge: Sunday, Nov. 4, at 3 p.m. at the 40 Days vigil site outside the Delta abortion facility, 756 Colonial Drive.
