Baton Rouge Proudly Pro-Life Gala: An Inspiring Inaugural Year!

2026 Baton Rouge Proudly Pro-Life Gala

Louisiana Right to Life’s inaugural Baton Rouge Proudly Pro-Life Gala was a joyful and inspiring evening, bringing together the Capital Region community in a powerful celebration of life.

Held on St. Patrick’s Day, the night was filled with gratitude, unity, and a shared commitment to defending life. Guests enjoyed festive music from a live Irish band trio!

Featuring Pete Dawson, Julia Dawson, and Kevin Granger.

The evening was emceed by Tara Wicker, Capitol Region Director for Louisiana Right to Life and Co-Director of Louisiana Black Advocates for Life, who welcomed attendees and highlighted the importance of the pro-life mission: saving babies, supporting mothers, and promoting adoption.

“This is a historic night,” Wicker shared, as she opened the first-ever Baton Rouge gala. “We are honored to have you here supporting the pro-life cause.”

We honored the incredible contributions of the Louisiana Knights of Columbus, presenting them with our Baton Rouge Proudly Pro-Life Award their longstanding commitment to life and service.

The evening was made even more special by the presence of special guest Tim Tebow, whose appearance generated great excitement among attendees and underscored the growing momentum of the pro-life movement in Louisiana.

In addition, the gala was chaired by Sheriff Sid Gautreaux and his wife Suzi, a couple deeply rooted in faith, family, and decades of service to the Baton Rouge community. Their leadership helped make this inaugural event a success.

Because of our generous patrons, our Baton Rouge Proudly Pro-Life Gala marked an important step forward in expanding the reach of Louisiana Right to Life’s mission in the Capital Region. By bringing together supporters, leaders, and advocates, the event strengthened a unified commitment to protecting life at every stage.

With such a strong and inspiring first year, the Baton Rouge gala is poised to become a cornerstone event in the region, continuing to grow support for women, children, and families across Louisiana.
