On Sunday evening, Jeff Landry was inaugurated as Louisiana’s 57th Governor of Louisiana. Landry has defending Louisiana’s pro-life laws in State and Federal Court since his election in 2016. He has also led pro-life initiatives jointly with our Attorneys General across the nation.

Importantly, after Roe v. Wade was overturned, AG Landry stood up for Louisiana’s pro-life law, ensuring babies in Louisiana are protected from abortion. Louisiana Right to Life believes Landry will be the most pro-life governor in the state’s history alongside other pro-life leaders that were elected last year, including Liz Murrill as Attorney General. Louisiana Right to Life has worked closely with Liz for years. In fact, due to Liz’s work of going above and beyond for life, we presented Liz with our 2022 Leadership for Life Award.

We also wanted to congratulate Cameron Henry as the new Senate President and Speaker of the Louisiana House of Representatives, Phillip DeVillier.
