First North-Central Louisiana PULSE Immersion Weekend a Success!

By Ashley Gilliam, Co-Youth Programs Director

Louisiana Right to Life completed the first ever North and Central Louisiana PULSE Immersion last weekend. We are so excited to now have 10 more students equipped to be pro-life activists in Louisiana. During this PULSE event we focused on bringing together the students’ talents with the knowledge they gain at PULSE in order to be pro-life activists.

Students gathered a lot of pro-life information and had a great time going over pro-life persuasion with their group leaders and peers, and they finished feeling more prepared to speak to people in their communities. They were able to learn from employees of their local women’s resources centers, who equipped them with the resources to support women in crisis pregnancies. They also loved hearing the personal testimonies of people who had experienced adoption, foster care, abortion, and end of life issues. Students had a blast with some of our PULSE traditions like games, small group competitions, and s’mores! We ended the weekend with the Commissioning Ceremony, during which each student shared what they learned and how they are using that knowledge to be activists in their schools and communities.

PULSE Immersion was an exciting weekend. We’re can’t wait to see how our students stand for the dignity of life as pro-life club leaders, artists, friends, and much more in North and Central Louisiana!
