Life Marches Draw Huge Crowds Around Louisiana

Life March South

Life March Northwest

Life March Southwest

Life March Northeast

Four Louisiana Life March events are in the books, and crowds at each were record setting!

Now there’s just one more march left in 2019 – Louisiana Life March Cenla, which is Saturday beginning at 9:45 a.m. at Louisiana College in Pineville.

A short program will take place on the grounds of Louisiana College before the 1.6-mile march, which goes down Main Street toward the Jackson Street Bridge, crosses the bridge and concludes at the amphitheater on the Alexandria side of the Red River.

Speakers include Dr. Rick Brewer, Claire Lemoine, Chelsea LeBlanc, Dr. Greg Bevels and Fr. Chad Partain. Music will be provided by Levi Square.

In case of heavy rain, the march will not be held, but the program will go on at 10 a.m. inside Guinn Auditorium at Louisiana College. If that’s the case get there early, as the auditorium will seat only the first 1,600 people.

Last week more than 13,000 people marched for life in other areas of the state.

  • More than 500 Louisiana residents showed their love for life in Lake Charles on the evening of Jan. 22 in the Life March Southwest;
  • 3,000+ marched through downtown Baton Rouge on the morning of Jan. 26 in the Life March South;
  • 6,000 marched from Bossier City to Shreveport on the morning of Jan. 26 in the Life March Northwest; and
  • 3,500 marched in the first-ever Life March Northeast from West Monroe to Monroe on the afternoon of Jan. 27.

Spirits were high among the participants, and powerful stories of love and forgiveness empowered them to stand boldly and protective of women and their babies.
