Around the State

Several local life marches and walks for life are held around Louisiana each year. Please notify TJ Burgess, Director of Events for Louisiana Right Life, at TJ@ProLifeLouisiana.org with information on your local events to have them listed and publicized.

The following are what we know are upcoming:

Eunice

  • Jan. 22, 2022, Noon
  • The March will begin on 2nd Street downtown in front of Picou’s Drug Store (260 N. 2nd St.) and ends at City Hall.

Lafayette

  • Festival de la Vie
    • Jan. 15, 2022, 9am
    • Pro-Life prayer walk begins at 9:30am

Mandeville

  • Jan. 22, 2022, 10am
  • Along Hwy 190 from the Post Office / Meadowbrook Subdivision entrance to the North Causeway overpass.

Marksville

  • Jan. 22, 2022, 9am
  • The march will start in the parking lot of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville, LA on Washington Street and travel to the front steps of the Avoyelles Parish Courthouse on Main Street.  Prayers will be offered by various persons from the community interspersed by songs of faith and patriotism. The march will then continue to St. Joseph Church hall across the street from the left side of St. Joseph Church where it will end with a small reception and fellowship in the hall.

New Iberia

  • South Deanery “March for Life” Mass
    • Jan. 25, 2022
    • 5 pm, Gather at Grotto for Pro-Life March

Natchitoches

  • Friday January 21st from 10 am – 1 pm
    • St. Mary’s Catholic School and the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church, in partnership with the Women’s Resource Center, will host a March for Life Friday, Jan. 21. The day will begin at 10 a.m. with a pre-rally concert by the Josh Blakesley Band, followed by a Pro Life Rally with guest speakers at 11 a.m. then finish with the March at 1 p.m. The March shall begin at the riverbank and continue to the rectory lawn of Immaculate Conception.

Slidell
