Louisiana State Police Declare Their Support for Life After Life March Northwest

Pro-Lifers marched from Bossier over the Texas Street Bridge to Shreveport’s Festival Plaza for unborn babies and their moms and in unity to Keep Louisiana Pro-Life!  Several local pastors and the Knights of Columbus were in attendance.  There was contemporary Christian music playing while marchers were waiting to begin with a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem performed by Avery Covington of Calvary Baptist Church.

The march was hosted again this year by Louis Avallone and Stephen Parr – hosts of American Ground Radio. We were escorted over the bridge by State Troopers and both Shreveport and Bossier Police Departments.  Upon arrival at Festival Plaza, marchers were greeted by the community worship team led by Word of God Ministries’ (WOGM) Worship Team.

Several speakers spoke including local pregnancy center and maternity home directors along with an amazing testimony by Amy Helm Blackwell of Mount Enterprise, Texas.  Attendees were all inspired and ready to join future pro-life events in our community after visiting several local organizations with tables displaying their organizational resources, such as: SEEDS Women’s Center, Connect1Child, 2 Birth and Heart of Hope.  At the end of the event,  participants  enjoyed free hot dogs and BBQ sandwiches sponsored by Open Door Fellowship and WOGM.

The next day, the Louisiana State Police went on social media to declare their support for unborn babies and their mothers.

On Facebook and Instagram, they wrote “This morning, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop G joined with community leaders, organizers, and parents to take part in the annual Louisiana Life March Northwest in Shreveport. This event provided an opportunity for residents to come together and show their unwavering support for expectant mothers and their unborn children, highlighting the value of life and the importance of community engagement. The Louisiana Life March Northwest served as a platform for the community to reaffirm its commitment to fostering a culture of reverence for life and offering assistance and resources to parents who may be encountering difficulties.

LSP remains committed to building strong, positive relationships with residents while ensuring the safety of all our communities.”
