Bogalusa- Today at 10 AM, the Southeast Louisiana Pregnancy Center for Women and Children located in Bogalusa will hold its grand opening. The new center will serve women and children in Washington Parish and the surrounding region.
The center is located at 502 Avenue F Bogalusa, LA 70427.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the pregnancy center is former State Senator Ben Nevers. Senator Nevers also served as Chief of Staff under Governor John Bel Edwards. State Senator Beth Mizell is also a member of the Board of Directors. Clelie Dugan PhD RN is the Executive Director of the pregnancy center.
The Southeast Louisiana Pregnancy Center will offer a variety of free services to assist pregnant and parenting mothers and children, including but not limited to ultrasounds for expectant mothers, maternity clothes, clothes for newborns to age 4, a free car seat program, community resources for WIC and Medicaid, parenting classes, and a thrift store for center clients.
The Communications Director for Louisiana Right to Life, Sarah Zagorski, said the following about the new center: “We congratulate the Southeast Louisiana Pregnancy Center for opening to assist mothers and babies in Bogalusa. The pro-life movement, whether in population centers or rural communities, continues to be here for women and babies through pregnancy help centers located across Louisiana. We thank the numerous volunteers and supporters in Washington Parish and beyond whose love for moms and babies motivated them to serve through this new center.
