Over 6,000 Diapers Distributed to NOLA Moms

The Louisiana Right to Life PULSE Teams, led by Youth & College Directors Ashley and Harlee, hosted a Donation Drive and Baby Supply Giveaway for Mother’s Day!

On April 27th, the group collected diapers, wipes, formula, and baby soap at the Louisiana Right to Life office in Lakeview. People from around the community gathered to donate baby supplies and pick up some cotton candy and freezer pops in return. Through items donated and monetary donations, the group was able to collect enough baby supplies to fill around 300 Nola To Go baby supply bags!

A couple weeks later on May 11th, the day before Mother’s Day, the Louisiana Right to Life office distributed these supply bags to mothers and families in need. On Saturday morning, there was a line of families around the corner waiting to take home free supplies for their babies. We were able to distribute over 6,000 diapers! It was amazing to be able to connect with and support our community in this way.

As an added advantage, the PULSE team took the time to put FindHelpLa.com stickers on all diapers, wipes, and soap being handed out, sharing this valuable Louisiana database with families so that they can utilize resources such as pregnancy centers, financial and employment assistance, health services, and many more.

We are so proud of these high school and college students for dedicating their time and efforts in order to serve the families in out community!
