Pulse Baton Rouge 2022 a Big Success!

This past weekend March 25-27 2o22, Louisiana Right to Life equipped 11 more students to be active pro-life leaders! The Greater Baton Rouge Pulse Immersion Weekend educated and empowered high school and college students with the proper tools to go back to their local communities and lead the pro-life movement with passion and compassion.

Students at PULSE Immersion practiced having compassionate conversations about unexpected pregnancies and abortion, learned the truth about fetal development and the violence of abortion procedures, and heard from guest speakers on pro-life politics and laws, adoption and foster care, and the impact of abortion. In their small groups, they were able to ask questions and talk through practical ways they could grow their pro-life groups and get involved with activism in their community, all the while developing friendships with other pro-life students across the state. On Saturday, PULSE students had the opportunity to visit the Delta abortion facility for a time of reflection, as well as engage in a tour at Women’s New Life Clinic to learn about the life-affirming choices this pregnancy resource center offers in the Baton Rouge area. After each day of learning and activism, students relaxed and enjoyed our PULSE traditions like Game of Games, Coffeehouse Talent Show, and s’mores around the fire.

At the end of the weekend, students were proud to be recognized as pro-life leaders at our Commissioning Ceremony. Families watched as their students proclaimed what pro-life activism they would be engaging in at their schools and local communities, such as starting a pro-life group on campus, raising money to go to the March for Life, and hosting supply drives for mothers in need. PULSE Immersion was a great weekend and we are excited to see how our new pro-life leaders boldly and lovingly stand for the dignity of life in Louisiana!
