Ahead of the National March for Life in Washington D.C., 400 high school students visited with Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry and First Lady Sharon at the Washington Monument from the Baton Rouge Youth Pilgrimage. From there, they participated in the march and listened to Speaker Johnson (District 4) address tens of thousands of pro-lifers at the end of the march as well as Vice President J.D. Vance.
Over a thousand students from across Louisiana traveled to D.C. to the march for unborn babies, and their mothers, from from the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Houma/Thibodaux, Lafayette, Baton Rouge and Lake Charles. The day prior, 600 participated in our youth rally, Geaux Forth, despite travel delays in Louisiana.
At Geaux Forth, students heard from a variety of pro-life speakers and experts including, Kathryn Lopez of the National Review, Louisiana Right to Life (LARTL) Executive Director Benjamin Clapper, Communications Director Sarah Zagorski and Policy Director Erica Inzina. They also learned about the development of the unborn baby from neonatologist Dr. Robin Pierucci.
