Will you march with us in 2019 and show your support for women and babies? Will you help us spread our 2019 message: Louisiana Loves Life?
Each year, thousands of Louisiana residents participate in a Louisiana Life March event around the state. The events consist of a march for life and a rally featuring music, speeches, and prayers.
The Louisiana Life March began as one event in Baton Rouge, then the program was expanded to Shreveport/Bossier and then to Alexandria/Pineville. This year events are also being held in Monroe/West Monroe and Lake Charles. So with five Louisiana Life March events around the state in January and February, one is sure to be close to you!
Will you help us spread the word? You can tell your family and friends about the marches, play the promotional video in your church and/or show the Life March image on your video board, or request promotional materials to hand out in your community.
Each event lasts approximately two hours. There will be speakers and music, and a ministry mobilization area will be set up at three of the sites – South, Northeast, and Cenla – to spread the pro-life message and help plug you into pro-life efforts in your community.
If you have additional questions, or you’d like to request promotional postcards or posters, contact Louisiana Right to Life at 866.463.5433 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, please keep checking back to the event pages as information on speakers will be added as soon as they are confirmed.
This event is not new, but this year Louisiana Right to Life joined sponsors New Life Counseling and ABC Pregnancy Center and expanded it to a Louisiana Life March event, Louisiana Life March Southwest. Lineup will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park at the Lake Charles Civic Center. The march begins at 6 and goes to the downtown courthouse, where a candlelight vigil and program take place on the courthouse steps. Krista Corbello, Acadiana and Southwest Louisiana Director for Louisiana Right to Life, will be the keynote speaker.
The route for this year’s Louisiana Life March South through downtown Baton Rouge will not be finalized until the end of the year due to construction at the State Capitol. The march begins at 10 a.m. The route will either begin at Galvez Plaza on North Boulevard, then proceed up 4th Street to the State Capitol, or it will begin at the State Capitol and end with a program at Galvez Plaza. Speakers will be announced soon. A Life Ministry Mobilization area will be held at the program site to plug you into all the pro-life efforts in your community.
Gather for the Louisiana Life March Northwest before 10 a.m. at Bossier City’s “Louisiana Boardwalk,” then march across the Texas Street bridge to a gathering in Shreveport’s Festival Plaza, where speakers and local music groups will lead prayer and presentation. After the gathering, a Life Ministry Mobilization area will plug you into all the pro-life efforts in your community.
The first-year Louisiana Life March Northeast is from 2-4 p.m. It begins at First West in West Monroe, where there will be a short program. The march will begin in the church’s Purple Lot (corner of Pine Street and N. 3rd Street), proceed over the Endom Bridge to Anna Grey Noe Park in Monroe, where we will gather for prayer, music, and presentation.
The Louisiana Life March Cenla begins on the grounds of Louisiana College in Pineville. The 1.6-mile march will go down Main Street toward the Jackson Street Bridge, cross the bridge and conclude at the amphitheater on the Alexandria side of the Red River, where a formal program will be held and a Life Ministry Mobilization area will plug you into all the pro-life efforts in your community.
