Harlee Barbier, our College Director, had the opportunity to travel to Washington DC for the annual DC College Trip. Alongside Harlee were twelve college students. These students attend schools all over the state, Louisiana State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, University of New Orleans and Tulane University. On Thursday, college students had the opportunity to volunteer at Geaux Forth. Geaux Forth is a rally to pump up the Louisiana high school students for the March for Life.
On Friday, these college students joined thousands of other pro-life people from all over the country marching for life in the snow at The National March for Life. On Saturday, college students attended Student’s for Life’s National pro-life Summit. They heard multiple, amazing pro-life speakers and learned why it is so important to stay active in the movement. Even with a week filled with lots of amazing pro-life opportunities, college students had lots of time to explore the beauty of Washington DC.
Every one of these students have had a major passion for the pro-life movement. Each one had a smile the entire trip and were very excited to get back to their college campuses to share their passion with others. One student stated “I always knew I was pro-life and I always knew it was important. But, after this trip, my passion is on fire! I want to be the best president I can be and I want to spread the pro-life message on the daily”.
