Henry Nguyen of Lafayette won the Louisiana Right to Life Pro-Life Oratory contest this weekend at the Louisiana Knights of Columbus state convention in Baton Rouge. Celeste Lirette of Shreveport placed second. Nguyen will now represent Louisiana at the National Pro-Life Oratory Contest in June. Congratulations to all participants!

The number of abortions in Louisiana decreased by 3 percent from 2016 to 2017, according to preliminary figures provided to Louisiana Right to Life recently by the Louisiana Department of Health.
