Youth Team Shares About National Right to Life Conference

Two members of our youth team had the amazing opportunity to attend the National Right to Life Conference. Here they share their experiences:

Trinity Wicker:

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the 2025 National Right to Life Conference in Kansas City—my first time ever visiting the city! It was such a powerful experience being surrounded by so many passionate advocates from across the country, all united by a shared commitment to protecting life. I got to connect with people from other Right to Life chapters and hear about the work they’re doing in their communities, and exchange ideas on how we can strengthen our efforts back home in Louisiana.

The sessions and conversations really challenged and inspired me to think more intentionally about how we can continue changing hearts and minds—both in our state and across the nation. I left feeling refreshed, encouraged, and more determined than ever to keep building a culture of life wherever I go.

Hannah Guilliam:

As an attendee, I was struck by the electric energy in Overland Park during the 54th annual National Right to Life Conference. The atmosphere was charged with optimism and positivity, especially in sessions aimed at empowering younger advocates. Topics like AI piqued my interest most, Inspiring me to integrate it into my everyday routine. Keynotes and workshops throughout the weekend emphasized that successful persuasion is less about confrontation and more about changing hearts and minds, encouraging thoughtful re-evaluation of deeply held beliefs, and fostering genuine curiosity for the pro‑life perspective. From the perspective of a speaker in the Youth Persuasion segment, the opportunity felt truly transformative. I focused my talk on equipping high school and college-aged participants with practical approaches; storytelling, respectful listening, and fact-based dialogue, to influence peers effectively. The foundation was based on the reality that today’s young people ride the fence on this issue even though the media may portray it to be otherwise. It was inspiring to watch participants young and old light up, ready to take strategies back to campuses and community groups. I truly am looking forward to having more opportunities to continue changing perspective on youth’s stance for life.
