New Orleans area high school juniors and seniors are invited to participate in the New Orleans Right to Life Pro-Life Oratory Contest on March 22, and the winner has the opportunity to compete at the State Pro-Life Oratory Contest on May 5 in Baton Rouge.
The local contest will be held at the Louisiana Right to Life state headquarters, 200 Robert E. Lee Blvd., New Orleans. It begins at 6:30 p.m.
The Pro-Life Oratory Contest is a national competition of high school juniors and seniors who write and give speeches on pro-life topics, including abortion, adoption, euthanasia, and other approved topics. The speeches must be 5-7 minutes long and will be scored by a panel of judges.
The winning student will receive a $300 prize. The second-place student will receive $200, and the third-place student will receive $100.
